Location data is stored only in your browser's local storage. When detecting location automatically, we use browser geolocation (if permitted) or IP-based lookup via third-party services (Cloudflare, Open-Meteo). These services may see your IP address or coordinates. Civic information is retrieved from our server using only your city and state (derived from the Google Civic Information API). We do not store or log your exact coordinates.
